What’s the difference between CMYK and RGB?Updated 2 months ago

CMYK and RGB are two different colour modes used for different purposes:

  • CMYK (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black) is used for printing, where colours are created using layers of ink.

  • RGB (Red, Green, Blue) is used for digital screens, where colours are created using light.

RGB files often appear brighter and more vibrant on screen, but those same colours don’t always translate accurately in print. That’s why we recommend converting your artwork to CMYK before uploading — it gives a more realistic preview of how your packaging will look once printed.

All our packaging is printed using CMYK digital production, which delivers excellent results. If you're working with specific Pantone (PMS) colours and need an exact match, get in touch — we can quote this as a custom print option.
