Using the Correct Layers to Apply Your DesignUpdated 2 months ago
When working within our design templates, it's important to place your artwork in the correct layers to ensure everything prints as expected.
Each template file includes the following key layers:
Information – Contains technical details and specs. Leave this layer on for reference.
Template – Shows the dieline and cut/fold lines. Do not move, alter, or resize this layer.
Sample Design – A visual reference for layout and orientation. Hide this layer before saving.
Artwork – This is where your actual design should be placed. You can create sub-layers within this, but they must all sit under this main group.
How to apply your artwork to the correct layer:
Open the Layers panel (
Window > Layers
if it’s not visible)Hide the Sample Design layer by clicking the eye icon
Click on the Artwork layer to select it
Paste or build your design inside this layer only
Lock all other layers to avoid shifting critical elements
Keeping artwork inside the correct layer helps us process your file smoothly and avoids delays in proofing or production.
