Typography, Text and LinesUpdated 2 months ago

For best results, it’s important to keep your text and linework bold, clear, and readable once printed — especially when working with small type, fine details, or printing on kraft board.

Very thin fonts or light strokes can sometimes appear broken or faded after printing, depending on the material and ink coverage. Designing with legibility in mind will help your final packaging look as sharp as it does on screen.

  1. Keep all body text 12pt or larger

  2. For lightweight or narrow fonts, use 14pt or larger

  3. Avoid line weights under 1pt — especially for outlines, icons, or strokes

  4. Make sure there is strong contrast between your text and background

  5. If printing on kraft, use dark, bold colours for best readability

If you’re using fine detail or small typography, we recommend requesting a sample or reaching out for advice before production.
